2 The structure

 

Tile adhesive contains a variety of additives, specifically the functionality of tile adhesive. Generally, the cellulose ether is provided with a water-repellent and thickening-imparting cellulose ether, and a latex powder for increasing the adhesion of the ceramic tile. The most common latex powder is a vinyl acetate/vinyl ester copolymer, lauric acid ethylene/ethylene/vinyl chloride. Additives such as copolymers and acrylics, the addition of latex powder can greatly increase the flexibility of the tile adhesive and improve the stress, and increase the flexibility. In addition, some special functions require tile adhesive to add other additives. For example, adding wood fiber can improve the crack resistance of the mortar and increase the opening time. Adding modified starch ether provides the anti-slip property of the mortar. Adding the early strength agent makes the tile adhesive more Quickly increase the strength, add water-repellent agent to reduce water absorption and provide waterproof effect.

 

According to the powder: water = 1: 0.25-0.3 ratio. Stirring can be applied; the position of the tile can be adjusted within the allowable time of operation. After the adhesive is completely dried (filling can be done after about 24 hours, heavy load should be prevented from pressing on the tile surface within 24 hours of construction. );

 

3 The characteristics

 

High adhesion, no dip brick wet wall during construction, good flexibility, waterproof, impermeability, crack resistance, good aging resistance, high temperature resistance, freeze-thaw resistance, non-toxic and environmental protection, easy to construct.

 

3.1 Scope of application

 

It is suitable for the bonding of indoor and outdoor ceramic wall tiles and ceramic mosaics. It is also suitable for the waterproof layer of interior and exterior walls, pools, kitchens and bathrooms, basements, etc. of various buildings. It is used for the tile paste on the protective layer of the external thermal insulation system, and it needs to be protected to a certain strength by the surface layer material. The base surface should be dry, firm, flat, free of oil, dust, and no release agent.

3.2 Surface treatment

 

All surfaces should be firm, dry, clean, non-sloshing, free of oil, wax and other loose materials;

The painted surface should be roughened to expose at least 75% of the original surface;

After the new concrete surface is completed, it needs to be cured for six weeks before the bricks can be paved. The new plastered surface should be cured for at least seven days before laying bricks;

Old concrete and plastered surfaces can be cleaned with detergent and then rinsed with water. The surface is dried to lay bricks;

If the substrate is loose, the water absorption is strong, or the surface dust and dirt are difficult to clean, you can apply Rabbin oil to help the tile bond.

 

3.3 Stirring and mixing

 

Put the powder into the water and stir it into a paste. Pay attention to the water before releasing the powder. Use a manual or electric mixer when stirring;

The mixing ratio is 25 kg of powder and about 6 to 6.5 kg of water, and the ratio is 25 kg of powder and 6.5-7.5 kg of additive;

Stirring is sufficient, and no powder is required. After stirring, it must be placed at rest for about ten minutes and then stirred for a while;

The glue should be used within about 2 hours according to the weather conditions (the surface of the glue should be removed). Do not add water to the dried glue until it is used.

 

3.4 Construction process tooth scraper

 

Apply the glue to the working surface with a toothed scraper to make it evenly distributed and form a strip of teeth (adjust the angle between the scraper and the working surface to control the thickness of the glue). Each coating is about 1 square meter (depending on the temperature of the weather, the required temperature range is 5 to 40 ° C), then the tile is pressed on the inside within 5 to 15 minutes (adjustment takes 20 to 25 minutes) The size of the toothed scraper should be considered in consideration of the flatness of the working surface and the degree of convexity and concavity on the back of the tile; if the groove on the back of the tile is deep or the stone or tile is larger and heavier, it should be double-coated. Apply glue to both the working surface and the back of the tile; pay attention to retain the expansion joint; after the brick is finished, the glue must be completely dried (about 24 hours) before the next step can be carried out; Clean the tile surface (and tools) with a damp cloth or sponge. If cured for more than 24 hours, the stain on the tile surface can be cleaned with a tile stone cleaner (do not use an acidic cleaner).

 

4 Matters needing attention

 

  1. The verticality and flatness of the substrate must be confirmed before application.

 

  1. Never mix the dried glue with water.

 

  1. Be careful to keep the expansion joints.

 

  1. After 24 hours of paving, you can step in or fill.

 

  1. This product is suitable for use in the environment of 5 ° C ~ 40 ° C.

 

The construction wall should be wet (external wet and dry), and maintain a certain degree of flatness. The uneven or extremely rough parts should be leveled with cement mortar and other materials; the base layer must be cleaned of floating ash, oil and wax to avoid affecting the adhesion; After the tile is pasted, it can be moved and corrected within 5~15 minutes. The evenly mixed adhesive should be used up at the fastest speed. Apply the mixed adhesive to the back of the bonded brick and press firmly until it is level. Actual consumption varies depending on the material.
